The solution to gankers, griefers, and murder hobos

just from the viewpoint of realism/immersion or whatever its a fantastic idea, a pilot is a pilot NPC or human, why didnt anyone come up with this before (sry if someone did).

I would miss noticing other players as you can go days/weeks without seeing anybody and this then makes the game feel alive, other than that I love it.

Don't distinguish between CMDR's and NPC's. Make them all solid and put CMDR in-front of everyone's name.

If the GGMH's can't figure out who's human from who's NPC they'll get bored and stop. Worst case scenario is that the NPC's will give valid cmdr's cover. While the GGMH interdicts the NPC the valid cmdr gets away.

Brilliant!

What an unfortunate title.

What about ship names? PowerPlay pledges? Squadron pledges? Flight patterns and behaviors? Loadouts? EDR cross referencing Commanders? Cross referencing Commanders on Inara? Weapon colors? Engine colors? Skin colors?

In other words I'm sure all those Anacondas without shields or guns called 'Anaconda' will do just fine under this system!

People would have to learn not to standout if they didn't want to be noticed.
