OK, this have been praised numerous times but I have to once again take a bow to the sound apartment on FDEV.
A couple of days ago, I visited my brother who's living in the countryside. He's a bonafide nutjob audiophile with numerous awards to prove it. I thought I'd bring the laptop with my 2nd account to test it on his ridiculus sound system.
We started out at Khun where I'd slapped on the enhanced thrusters on an Eagle. I took her for a joyride around the base in full speed and both our ears and eyes popped. I knew the sound was great but in full surround and vol at 11...My Lord.
A couple of hours later when I'd showcase the bulk of the game (and the sounds) my brother, who is a sportgamer at heart, said "I need to own this game."
I'm back now in my Stockholm flat with my medium range headphones and seriously considering moving to the wilderness, or at least a house, to truly enjoy the (somewhat) unsung hero of ED: the audio.[up]
