The Space Between The Stars. What have you found?

The idea of this thread is to post a not too revealing screenshot, with a single sentence or caption when you find things on the edge (or outside of) solar systems.

Location, too much detail and so on should be kept secret so others can experience the act of finding the item and exploring it themselves.

EDIT-Update: As my third shattering illusion means actually this is probably not possible, I'll make it about interesting USSs.

I understand Frontier wanted to make things such as space ship wrecks (given as an example) to encourage players to spend time away from major points, I'm hoping to avoid such disappointment by players actually finding these things fixed in space (albeit rare) to generate some excitement about what might be found using this thread.

Feylame wants some animal meat

Not so interesting, but on Supercruise between systems for the first time, an unknown signal led to someone who wanted to buy Animal Meat. She's a master, not a rating I knew about

It's not.
Actually it is. You can fly normally in between places if you have the time. What makes things impossible is since things are to scale in the game they would take years in some cases more years that you will be alive to complete the journey in normal flight. You can see for yourself though, jump out of super-cruise when you are close, but not close enough to appear wherever you are going automatically and just try to fly the rest of the way normally. It might take several minutes (maybe even hours if you came out to far) but you will eventually arrive at your destination. I have tested this on several stations and asteroid mining points.

I found the hyper jump between stars goes on for a long time sometimes. I can't even hit escape and log out when it happens.

It doesn't work with star systems. If you SC to another system, once you get there, it's empty. You are still in the old system, just very far away from its center. People have tried it already and posted about it :)

This is a side-effect of the game using instances. If you don't jump to the other system, the instance is not getting loaded.

The space between stars in ED doesn't "really exist", so to speak. Take for instance, you can't just supercruise from Lave to Diso even if you leave your PC on and running for a week. You may have covered the DISTANCE to Diso (as it appears on your HUD), but you won't find the star nor its planets there (someone tested this back in Beta - flying 0.33 LY to the nearest discrete system from DN Draconis I believe. He found nothing there after covering 0.33 LY).

So I would imagine the space between stars is just a load of USSes randomly generated as you travel.

Personally I found Mace Windu flying a Hauler and was rated Mostly Harmless, just to reply to topic :D

Because the animation is used to mask the loading screen, it works really well imo though every now and then it can take a full minute. Need to clean my PC :D

Dang, that's lame. There are some star systems just 1-2 LY apart from each other, not much more than Proxima Centauri :) I was always under an impression that you can just get there.

I found Orca piloted by Kahen Kilon siika (two kilo whitefish), which is 'legendary' finnish youtube video from few years back. Also on my first day playing I found npc named zaphod dent
