Dunno.. but a better comparison might be to a high-end yacht, not a Merc. 
I saw one yesterday, just before the 3.9.1 patch.

Do we know what its called or anything about it, or has anyone even seen it in game? It is a stunning design what ever its performance thats for sure

She's a beaut thats for sure I found a few vids, none from inside, all NPC owned, very very elegant craft. Clearly Imperial design.

I love the blowhole, it's a great touch.
@Pulse - supposedly there's a smaller passenger ship called the Dolphin and a larger one called the Beluga. There's an old piece of concept art for the Dolphin.
The top ship here is an older iteration of the Orca and the bottom is the Dolphin.
I feel they're missing a trick by constantly tinkering with the ship designs to get the "perfect" shape - why not release the older versions as the "Mk 1" and so on?
Same goes for SC. I don't doubt that tinkering produces a very refined final design, but the stages along the way usually look good enough for me - extra variety would trump perfection, and having both would be cool.

I tried to take one down with my Sidey in 3.9.x. Got him to 50% hull [no shields?] and he jumped away!
