The Spare Seat Next to You on Some Ships...

mmm, it's terrible. Any vehicle should only have one seat where it can be manouvered by a single person.

Come to think of it, I should talk to my car's manufacturer about that. I've had a spare seat next to me in every car I've ever bought, and the view out the front was not aligned with the center of the car.

It's for a future "in-app-purchase" where you'll be able to insert a nagging wife to complete the immersion experience.

You need a new car....

definatly worth trying to develop your own bodys ability to use ''missis voice cancellation'', you just have to be careful you don't give in to the temptation of using the skill 24/7 ...

I use my spare seat to strap a cooler beside me. Never know when you want that last cold beer if a dog fight is turning against you.

Having the ability to switch seats is a must, shirley.

Don't call me Shirley (couldn't resist, sorry)

I put my handbag and a few CDs on the spare Cobra seat. Its a little far to reach to grab my lippy before landing, but as the footwell is cluttered with empty coke cans it'll have to stay there. I don't yet have a collection of soft toys on the dash yet; I'm holding out for the return of the bobblehead.

I think you guys are completely missing the point of the second seat.

For any Brit, when you first buy a Cobra you instinctively sit in the seat on the right and then try to launch - only to find your ship doesn't work. So you call Falcon De'Lacy who then tell you that you've done something wrong and they have to charge you a few thousand credits to send an engineer out. The engineer will then re-adjust the right seat to make it look as if he's doing something, and then casually suggest you try out the left one before he leaves.

You then fly off, while FDL have made more money out of you.

That's why a few ships have the pilot seat on the right as well, to cheat all the left-hand-drive pilots out of a few extra credits.

If only people would bring this to the attention of the authorities maybe we could do something to prevent this disgraceful corporate behaviour.
