The SRV controls ARE set up for us

I have seen some posts complaining that you can't move the SRV as the controls aren't mapped for it. They are, but Frontier pulled a blinder again and reset the defaults to 'custom' in the context presets menu without telling us. Just open the controls menu and select either classic or default in the presets menu right at the top. Once you have done that you will find the SRV controls are mapped. Just scroll down and check them out for what button does what...

Hope it helps :)

Are you sure you hadn't modified a controller mapping since last week?, because as soon as you change a binding, you are no longer on default or classic layout, you are custom. Then when 2.x appears you either have to manually configure the SRV controls in your custom layout, or reset your layout to either default or classic then manually re-make your original changes.

Nope, never touched them after setting to classic ages ago. PC is my main elite account, the classic setting set it up almost identical to what I have everything mapped to on there. I use Xbox controller for that too :)

I just saw how people were experiencing g the same problem as me, all the ship controls as normal, but nothing for the SRV. Switched that setting back to classic and I was good to go. It's cool, no one has to do this, just information for everyone. :)

Well thats good to know after the update i had just enough time before work to land and disembark then my ship was under attack and i couldnt move saved ship by dissmissing it but still couldnt move setting my controls when i finish work in a couple hours and happy exploring awaits :)

Never had a problem, I have always used default controls. The SRV to my surprise was quite easy to drive. I remember PC players saying it was a nightmare. Only took a few minutes to grasp that you can't go he'll be t for the horizon and not expect some stability issues.

Oops...just found out my son had messed with the controls then recalled them back instead of choosing the correct preset. So everything was mapped to classic setting only using custom setup...daft lad....

I apologise to Frontier for blaming it on a bug. :( and to anyone I may have confused....
