The Starburst Effect - System Security

Love the game.

Ok, now that's aside, I have a question for the software team.

I work the outer bounds of populated space. Between my trucking and combat sucking I have noticed one factor that has become somewhat annoying to me.

Why is it when you pop a new instance bubble (aka drop into a station or system that has no other players) that the system security always does a starburst from some given point way away from the station?

For one, I like my RP and immersion, but this has really grown on me as an annoyance. Do I seriously care? Not really, it makes my life easier. But, for any type of immersion, it's somewhat absurd. If a station is to have security, why are they all hanging out at some random point and all drop their coffee and donuts to charge at the entrance of a station when my ship suddenly appears?

In a beautiful but ineffective starburst.

I have no desire or need for it to change, but curious CMDR would like to know!

Probably to give you the opportunity if you have illegal cargo, if you hustle you can beat them into the station. Also probably limitations on how they can spawn. I've noticed that RES's act virtually the same way. When you jump into a RES instance, typically but not always just like this, first the mining ships will spawn in, then system security starts popping in, then pirates will start arriving.

Oh I understand why, though there are methods for smuggling too that shouldn't need that... but I understand.

It just looks funny that every time, every station, friendly, foe, or neutral, that they all pop the same. It'd be cool for it to be a bit more random and interesting. :)
