I've been fascinated for a while by some of the station names in the huge inhabited part of the galaxy, and intrigued as to how some of them are named. I decided to put together a database (it's a spreadsheet, really 
) of all the ones with a probable reason for their name.

- Name of station
- Name of system
- Major system allegiance (Alliance, Empire, Federation, Independent)
- Person/thing the station is named after
- Link to Wikipedia on that person/thing
