Shamefully - I had never noticed this option before you mentioned it...Open Steam library, right-click "Elite Dangerous", select "Play Elite Dangerous Horizons". That works for me, I hope it does for you too.
This works for me, too. The launcher where I could select the version of Elite to start does not update, but manually starting the Horizons launcher through the steam selection allows me to play.Open Steam library, right-click "Elite Dangerous", select "Play Elite Dangerous Horizons". That raises the question, why you need a DRM launcher to start another DRM launcher?is there an update on this? following the suggestion to right click and select Horizons pulls up the launcher but after pressing play, the screen goes black for a second like the game is starting then i'm returned to the desktop and the launcher again. i can start the game directly and have been doing so since the launcher update issues but i'd like to access the game via steam if possible.
