Roller Coasters The Stig's Coaster Thread

Started a floorless coaster today. Unnamed so far.
Look at me. This is the first coaster I've built in PC.

Very nice, It'd be interesting to see some more of your coasters. I know you've done some good stuff with the other game and are held in quite high regard.

How you finding working with the editor? I know you had serious reservations in previous incarnations.

Well, both have good. Both have room for improvement.
I will certainly give a detailed review after I get more accustomed to this one though.
Thanks for the comments.

How are you finding the coaster friction model(s)?
There's been some frustration from some around here, that feel it's way to "high".

I've not really found it to be the case, except with some coaster styles, that still seem reasonable and realistic.
Such as the slowest/highest friction being the kiddie coaster.

Well, not long ago I thought friction was a bit high too, until I realized that I was building my coasters' lift far shorter than I thought.
Friction seems alright with me. This coaster here has a drop height of 130 feet and I had no trouble (technically) including all the inversions you'd find on Kumba, Rougarou, or Bizarro. I stole the finale from Georgia Scorcher. I'm a big fan of the Scorcher.

My only complaints so far are a lack of height markers, which would be extremely useful in general. And the preset corkscrew was a little too round for B&M, so I made my own, and I think it came out alright.
