The sun never sets on Asian Tropical map

I am currently playing in an Asian tropical map and I noticed the sun never sets. So it never gets dark in this map even if I set the zoo operating hours until 24:00.

Is this intended?

Let me ask, which mode are playing in? if you are in Sandbox you might have something set that prevents the sun to set. In franchise mode you can't stop the sun from setting and rising.

I play in Challenge mode.
The only way it gets dark in this map is when it rains.

I have not played in the Challenge Mode yet. But, I do think that it should work like the Franchise Mode. Therefore, I don't believe that it is intended for the sun to never set. I would suggest you report the issue.

Challenge mode and Franchise mode are essentially the same thing except one can be played offline. The intent behind them is the same.

I haven't played this map, but I do know there is one bug that can cause this so just to double check.. did you upload any blueprints to the workshop from this map? If you did, and you changed the time of day in the blueprint window, there is a bug that causes that to happen in the zoo as well. You need to go back into the blueprint window and unlock if this is the case.

Yes I have buildings uploaded to workshop but I cannot recall if I changed the time of day. I never knew that there was an existing bug about that.

Hmmmm I will check by creating a new zoo in the same map and see.

I am back with some testing.

@Agathorn yes you are correct that saved blueprint has effect on day night cycle. Apparently if a blueprint was saved with the custom time (checkbox has check mark), then it freezes the day night cycle.

Solved it by resaving an existing blueprint but make sure the checkbox is unchecked.
