i like the supercruise very much, its looking great, controlling great.

what i enjoy less tho is the fact that you can see others ships , and interact with them in SC. i think we shouldnt be able , as our ship is travelling at enormous speed, and it shouldnt be possible . your ship is all powering the energy-demanding frameshift drive.

I know that for community purposes, maybe frontier chose so cause it was more to allow people to meet each others, and manage to track down npcs.

but i find it bad, i enjoyed more when we couldnt see anyone , it was more realistic like in the beta.

Space is huge, and the fact of travelling so fast while being able to gently see others sounds weird .

Since we are expanding and contracting space time with our FSD I think this should be highly observable, allowing us to see others.

I am no expert though and there are many people on this forum who could tell you more about this.

Light travels at a constant speed from the perspective of the observer. When in supercruise, we are effectively traveling faster than light. To achieve this we must be contacting space, so space becomes 'smaller' for us.
Or something sciency like that ;)

We need supercruise interaction. Without it interdiction would not be possible, and that is an important part of the game.

In the year 3315 We use Quantum tunnelling for Long distance communication, thus you see everyone in the same system instantaneously and can talk, interact with them as your shipboard computer calculates all of this.


(Oh and btw, Quantum tunnelling is real physics, It's just a matter of exploiting it to be used for FTL communication)
