The T9, get out of the way.

Greetings

So I have worked from the Sidey all the way to a T9 so far , along the way I have been rudely pushed out of the way or nearly crushed by large ships in the entrance/exit.

Not anymore tho, If you see me coming get out of the way because the T9 doesn't want to stop! many poor NPC ships have died not getting out of the way since I bought this beast, I plowed through 2 adders and a Cobra earlier like they wern't even there ,I expected there to be a crash and come to a standstill but no not a jolt ,there was some loud crashing and banging noises then some explosions behind me.

Didn't even dent my shield.

I like the T9 it's huge but extremely slow, be aware tho it has a very poor stock drive as in 6ly or something.

I fly Gertrude without shields. Which means even a diddy hauler can stick a 16k dent in your hull.

Always take it easy in the 9.

No rush, if you get to the other end unscathed you are looking at 600k in the sky rocket...

They say right of way goes to the bigger ship, so short of an Anaconda that's probably you now... congrats on getting into the big leagues.

I think a Viper can squeeze through the edge of the Mail Slot if it's perpendicular to the slot. I do it frequently if my pad is nearly 90 degrees from my orientation. I said that not really certain how wide the T9 is. I've always waited for the 9 to pass through before moving. Don't want nearly half a million credits to become a rapidly expanding sphere of debris.

T9 I can get past, it's the Anaconda that I yield for now, one of em cost me 400 CR in fines from pushing me back into the letterbox.

annie is not that big of a girl, two of her can pass through the docking port at the same time if they each pick a side.

I have taken a type 6 through the slot on its side past a T9 also an asp will fit.

The mail slot is a lot bigger than it looks at a distance. The little dimples on the sides are large enough to admit a couple of Vipers simultaneously over/under each other.

Don't tell me you can still do that! During beta I Always had full pips to engines and boosted out, completely disintegrating everything in the slot unless it was another T9 or Anaconda. Surely that should be illegal now in the real game? What if those are real people? That's griefing if anything is.

Learned my lesson

I tried to boost past a T9 in my T6.... like I so with everyone else docking in slow-mo... and I learned my lesson hard. Cost me about 600K credits in cargo and insurance... I think the guy driving the T9 just laughed at me.

Unlike that unfortunate Asp I ran into... sorry about that... beep beep...

Griefing doesnt really seem to exist in this game. Open server = open season.

If you boost-rammed someone else's kill, or parked over their pad so they can't launch, that would be griefing, the letterbox is challenging and some of us boost to get out of traffic faster. That slot is the most dangerous point in a pilot's day, and staying there as little as possible is allowing others to risk their necks on a small space instead of me. The difference is if I hug the wall or smack that guy's shields. though I wish shields had their own slot instead of being general utility, as some people do go without them. I tried once, and my docking computer cost me 2% hull when I didn't have shields. I do tend to prefer outposts, since they don't have the letterbox, but I can dock in both and do on occasion. I don't think being careless in traffic on it's own counts as griefing unless the pilot has malicious intent.

Edit: I am tired... this didn't make as much sense to me as my usual posts... my apologies.
