The Thargoid Song

Hi guys, you might remember I made The SRV Song (Cargo Scoop Mix) a few weeks ago.

Well I made another track, this time using sounds captured from Thargoid encounters. Just like my previous track the only sounds I used were from the game and nothing else. The track took around two days to edit, and another day and a half for the video. Major thanks to CMDRs HVACKER and OrangePhoenix for letting me multicrew with them in order to capture what I needed. All the combat you see is of them flying and killing thargoids. Oh, and I am obligated to state that three Thargoids died in the making of this video - thank you Gordon, Gary and Gerbert for your sacrifice for my artistic endeavours.

There is more of a narrative to this track, and I hope you all enjoy it!

You know... Given their bleating appear to be based on a contrabass saxophone, I wonder if one, at least with some speeding up, could make a decent sounding Thargoid Yakety Sax arrangement... :9

While editing the track, I did often wonder how the Thargoid noises started off - as in what instrument / noise was worked on.

Oh God it’s like my record collection.

Throbbing Gristle via Rammstein early NIN and Laibach, Slub and Death In June. Could have used a bit more Current 93 and Aphex Twin flavours in the middle 8 (which was cut short, dude let it breathe) but yeah definitely worth playing on my Genelecs and Sub.

Best reply I've ever had!! Thank you very much!

And thank you everyone else for the kind comments and likes! :D

I don't know what it is, but battling goids always reminded me of playing Berserk.

As long as we're talking about it, I'd like Thargoids to sound more like Cosey's horn on Hamberger Lady (the Greatest Hits recording).
Yeah Thargoids sound A W E S O M E and really CLEAN. Like if Hans Zimmer was producing TG, and I think they could use a little more Lo-fi and a little more crazy like mental something loose and lost.

Like the Virgin Prunes summoning C’Thulu.
