Imo, this game would be perfection if EVERY (habitat) animal currently available had a rare mutation... At least the dog-like animals! I know it isn't realistic to have black arctic wolves or white dholes or whatever, but I wish there was something to breed towards in dog-like animals (which are my personal favorites) and others.

There are already rare colour mutations for just about every animal in the game, and it is already not very realistic. Zoos go out of their way to avoid deliberately ruining the genes of their animals, which is exactly why breeding programmes, studbooks, and international organisations exist. Albinism, leucism, and in some cases melanism, are most often the result of genetic bottleneck populations resulting in inbreeding, which causes an excess of recessive genes being selected for.
