The things corpses do

As I battle my way through on-foot combat, I notice that, when you down an NPC, they can take on the oddest of contortions.

Perhaps my gun-fu is too powerful for them.

The ragdolls in this game certainly exhibit some interesting disregard for physics.

Actually i think we are too used to see stuntmen faking death poses in various movies and most of us are fortunate enough to be spared from the gruesome reality.

The thing is, a dead body can take some really unnatural poses (unnatural for a living person) since it's not held in place by muscles and the tendons can stretch or even break under the weight of the body.

The ones that get caught in the doors, which keep trying to close over the contorting body, can reach levels quite disturbing.
Doing a settlement retrieval mission. Was too lazy to go to foot combat so I just rocketed the scavs to death. Sometimes, the explosions blow the scavs into buildings and they don't disappear when you disembark when that happens. Finally made my way to the required locker and it looked...different. It looked liked pipes were going through the cabinet, not a bug I'd seen before but nothing unusual for ED so after a second trying to digest the image I cut the lock.

The door snaps open and I see a scav crammed into the small space inside the locker, the "pipes" were parts of his legs poking out of the door and my brain just couldn't register them. Then he just vanished. Better jump scare than half the recent "horror" movies.

I thought you were going to say the pipes turned out to be entrails. That would've been kewl :,D
