His fully kitted mining Type 6. His intention? To un Earth the real core of the Universe as we know it. His last words over the comm as his vessel jumped ? " I don't know what I'll return with, but I will return. And whatever is in my cargo bay will widen our knowledge.....Cmdr out. "

To the Core. Sag A. Been at it for days. The African Queen is going strong. Its the flight deck that hurts the most, the boredom the utter boredom of travelling to the core. African's Drives are doing well, she groans a little when I first Jump then whines when I come to a Stop. Been doing 39 jumps per 1KL Yr. I am about 9KL Yr out from Sol. I so long to hit the central Core. It's bright clusters are teasing me.
I will continue...I will strike up my Mining lasers in the Central Core of our Universe. I will Not come home empty handed.

Thanks Cmdrs. I gave a Jaques Stil for the old Kodak as it was a relic from long long ago. Circa 1980 I think. Must dash. Got to duck tape some pressure hoses down in the cargo hold. Damn this girl is old.

Cmdr's Log 7.8.3301

I am nearing the inner core. The African Queen has suffered a setback, I was carrying out routine repairs on the Warp-core and had a mishap with a brown Dwarf star. She was firing up again and suffered, on the whole, she is down to 98% module integrity. I started out with the soul intention of mining the core. This beautiful Universe has captured my attention however and I find myself wandering from the path of determination to bring back samples from within. The initial boredom has been surpassed by the things to discover. The wonder of it all has gripped me. I must press on. I must reach my goal.
