I love Zoo Tycoon 2. I still find it fun to build, breed, and manage...but there are some things about the game that I just can't stand! And I'm sure that you guys have a 'Not Zoo Tycoon' wishlist to add as well.
1) 'Zookeeper can't reach the poop'. These messages spam everything else out! And it doesn't matter how many zookeepers you have or who's assigned to what, those messages are going to keep on coming.
2) The guests complaining about the lack of rides and dessert carts. I don't know about you guys, but the absence of bouncy kangaroos (placed every 50 yards) is no deal breaker for me when I go to the zoo.
3) The need to put down tiny bowls of water everywhere to keep the animal from dying of thirst...when there's a river running through their habitat. C'mon dude, you're a flamingo. Figure it out!
4) The extremely specific 'biomes'. If I have a zoo in the rainforest of South America, plopping down a square of snow is...well, it's impossible. Bottom line. I always thought that the drastically different environmental needs could be handled much, much better than painting on a layer of native soil. Especially when it came to water. The animal is mad because their water is simple freshwater but not swamp freshwater?! Gimme a break!
