So there I am today, stoked for 1.2 Wings to drop, grinding a few credits in my Type 7 for a Fer-de-Lance...

...aaaand my graphics card burns out :eek:

Why God?!

Got a new one on order for tomorrow, but...aaargh! Withdrawal has already set in @.@ This lappy hasn't a prayer of running ED. Damn you Karma!

Going to keep up to date with developments via the forums tonight until I'm back on. Keep an FdL warm for me :(

Oh my - Murphy is on the loose eh? Feel for you - but sure, we will keep your FDL warm with a cool beer waiting inside... after we tried it out for a few rounds. So don't mind the scratches on its hull :D

GTX 570, replaced it with a GTX 960. Might be able to run some of the shinier graphics options at least :p

Thanks, sadly I don't have native Intel HD I dun think...AMD Motherboard :S

Im just sat hoping ebuyer can replicate or find the issue. 2 machines tried, 4 sets of nvidia drivers, 2 reinstalls of windows and still it kept randomly crashing :(
Now Im sat here downloading 1.2 for no reason as I cant play with poopy graphics :(
Wish I'd not used the issue of Nvidia telling porkies over the ram on the 970 to send it back and upgrade to the 980, the 970 ran flawlessly, I just got greedy
WHY LORD WHY!!!!!!!!!!

Oh man I really feel your pain... I had my GFX card go just after loading SONAR X3 (okay not a game I know, but...) and I was like a greyhound to my local computer-shack.

On the plus side, upgrade the GFX card, and enjoy the additional fidelity... (and FDev may sneaked in 1.2.1 before you're back...)

...clouds... silver linings and all that jazz...

Never mind about the Fer-de-Lance, on review I'll be heading for the Python after all :( Sorry to hear about everyone's issues, looks like I wasn't the only one with technical issues :p Let us support each other, wish for better computer-related times in the immediate future, and settle back to watch the blossoming mushroom cloud that is the new ship pricing debate rise majestically in the distance :D
