The Tragedy of Isinor : A displaced people, a Federation black site, and an opportunity

Maodun, Isinor. Dispossessed. Disappeared. Executed. Exiled. Cut off from the galaxy. These are the fates that befell most Isinorians when the Federation set its sights on their homeworld, now a Federation black site, illegal to travel to without the "proper documentation". Once a peaceful and religious people, proud of their holy sites and posing no threat to anyone, everything they had was ripped from them for reasons we do not yet know. Their stations were dismantled, their people, a population of almost 37 million, silenced - even information has trouble traveling out of the system now.

But the Isinorian's are a tough people, and they aren't so easily defeated. The last few years have seen the exiled and dispossessed gaining power in neighbouring systems. Reshas, Anotchadiae, and LFT 5053 all have substantial Isinorian populations, and they are no longer being quiet. The Chapter of Isinor has been quietly been gaining power, and as they've also infiltrated the ranks of the Federation deeply enough to forge convincing permits and allow independent commanders to enter the cordoned off system for the first time.

I was one of those commanders, and what I saw horrified me. The Federation operation is blatant thievery - supply ships constantly departing from the planet carrying not trade goods, but valuable antiquities - ancient artifacts, the roots of the Isinorian faith, being ripped from their foundations by the ton and shipped... somewhere. Supply ships escorted by convoys of Federation Navy anaconda's, armed to the teeth. Whatever their reason for looting Isinor, they were keen on preventing anyone from stopping them.

But with your help, we can.

I call upon all independent pilots, all Imperial pilots, all pilots with a shred of decency, to stand up and act. Help the Isinorian's launch a campaign to retake their home, and save their history from the predations of Federation corporations like Gold Natural Ltd.

In the process, we may just create an amazing little conflict, an opportunity to push the experiment in Lugh further than it could have gone. We could have a war across multiple systems, of the Federation against a displaced but proud people fighting to retake their home, with multiple fronts and a variety of outcomes, and uncover something significant about what the Federation has been up to behind the scenes in the process.

To help:
Run missions for the Chapter of Isinor in Reshas, Anotchadiae and LFT 5053.
Become Allied and get them to forge you a permit.
Liberate antiquities from the Federation convoys and return them to the thankful Isinorians via the Black Market in Reshas for 90k a ton.

Progress:
Gained Control of: Crown Dock
Gained Control of: Malerba Orbital in Anotchadiae in a fair and free election. We have the people's support!

It's actually a pretty cool system, and there's a good deal of cash to be made looting the Federal convoy. Get a 3 man wing together like I've been doing and practice your smash and grab tactics - send dudes in to smash the t9s hatch with big alpha, have a third guy scoop while the other two draw off the Anaconda escorts, and then get out of there ASAP and repeat. 90k a ton, pure profit! Each t9 carries only carries around 7 tons, but that's still more than half a million a go.

LFT 503 doesn't exist on the Galaxy Map, fyi.

But yes, I have been very supportive of this group. In fact, the Chapter at Anotchadia is in the middle of elections now for what I presume to be control of the system. I was hoping to save up a bit more exploration data (only have around 4M, before bonuses from what I estimate), but I decided that I would support the chapter and bolster their influence further by dumping exploration data.

Please do anything you can to support the chapter: Run missions for the chapter, dump exploration data, trade at their station, or just shoot system authority vessels for a few days to hurt the Republic Party.

I have a permit. Not so keen on facing off against the Anacondas but I'm furthering the cause of Isinor by bringing them news of far off systems, by trade and by humanitarian missions for Chapter controlled stations. No Isinorian child shall go hungry whilst I still have a ship to fly!

Buy Bertrandite at Anotchadiae (Crown Dock), bring it to BD-22 3573 (Bohm Terminal) with 618 profit per ton. On the way back buy either Berrylium (1247 profit/ton), Gallium (1021), or Gold (1178),

This will net you 1860ish at current rates if you want to support via trade.

I wished i could jump to these systems but i'm over at Eravate in a viper and LHS 3447 from my last visit was in lockdown and one station/planet was starving They'll need help and they are closer to me.

There aren't any stations in Isinor so not sure that we can do anything in terms of changing its ownership. Unsure if we can chase Gold Natural from the surrounding systems and have an impact on Isinor, but might be worth a try.

IF we can take over the surrounding systems as a base to launch the assault from, we can probably get Frontier to set up a community goal to retake Isinor itself.

Since LFT 503 was apparently wrong, can anyone remind me of the name of the third system the Chapter exists in?

Indpendent Trader Ben Ryder signing up.

I'll bring them some tea brewed with the magical waters of the founders world.

How does droping exploration data help them does it add to the main parties influence or something?

It hurts them until we control some stations, which we might very soon thanks to the election! Once we control a station, turn in exploration data there for a massive boost to the faction that owns it.

Actually, Isinor already controls Crown Dock.

AND IT'S OFFICIAL!!! CHAPTER OF ISINOR WON THE ELECTIONS AT ANOTCHADIAE!!! MALERBA ORBITAL AND SYSTEM OWNERSHIP IS THEIR'S!

Now is a matter of trying to gain control of a station at Reshas.

Found it, LTT 5053.

Thought the Chapter of Isinor already controls Crown Dock, in which case you can sell exploration data there.

Made it to friendly with the chapter yesterday and will carry on as much as I can.

Are Warzone missions worth taking or will the mess my rep up with any of the major factions?

Check to make sure there are conflict zones in the stated system before you take them; there are bugs with warzone missions at the moment where the conflict zones don't show up so you will fail such missions. Might be safest to avoid.
