The trouble with tortoises...

Why oh why do my tremendous turtles tremble timidly when spied by a guest :p

I can’t even have them in a walkthrough exhibit, they are unhappy all the time, walkthrough exhibit animals should at least have some threshold for human company above zero or what’s the point?

I’m pretty sure the ones at the Melbourne zoo couldn’t care a less about the people watching them, they happily sit for hours at a time within arms length sunbathing or munching on the grass, and I’ve been allowed to pet them at others which they seem to rather enjoy. (Nothing like a good scratch where you can’t reach!)

Agree. Went inside an enclosure (leopard tortoises & weaver birds) on a zookeeper day and they were inquisitive little things! Kept scrabbling over our feet and following us around begging for food (some just ignored us while chilling under their heatlamps). They certainly weren't hiding or scared.

Zoopedia says they are neutral against humans. That means they are not confident, but certainly not shy. Maybe they need to be "confident" for an open closure. We need snapping turtles to teach the other turtles a thing or two :)

fun fact those "don't feed the animal" signs? those fix all of it

which is kind of silly because it's just a sign, you don't expect it to do anything jkfdhghf

but if you have troubles, plop those signs down and they're not running for cover anymore!

Does that mean the security cameras also actually do something? I assumed that stuff was all decorative as I couldn't notice any difference (they still break my benches next to them).

now that one I'm not sure about, because if my security does anything it certainly isn't making a difference that I notice fdskjhfg

the only thing I've seen that helps with vandalism is just trying to fix the guest's issues

First I thought it wouldn't prevent the Animals from becoming 100% stressed but after giving the Shelter a Wall where no one can look trough worked. I only tested it in my Testing-Area in Sandbox-Mode but I think they should make the queue-Paths also work for Enclosures, because I think a lot more People will walk through it in a bigger Zoo

If you've played Planet Coaster you'll know that you can look out of the security camera's lense. Just click on the camera button on it's info tab. They help find the criminals easier because they can see who did it. They have a wide range which you'll see when you look through the camera so you don't have to place like 10 in one spot. :)
