if i remember correctly, someone had even told me of this many months before, but HUMAN MEMORY being what it is, you can simply FORGET, and that's what happened to me.
i'd remembered i was going to spend those weapon blueprints i'd gone to the effort to go get,
came back, did a little research,.. the memory failed at that point i guess,..
and then AS i'm looking through the lists, i didn't NOTICE anything different, about them COMPARED to OTHER turreted weapons.
and THAT, is why, it's unfair / almost false-advertising - it's SIMILARITY, to other-turreted.

If in the real world , real military hardware failued to mention that it's controls require manual control , ONLY have human-manual control, but are being SOLD in a marketplace where the representation of it if-symbolic , where the norm for what a turret IS, in terms of HOW it behaves ... and so what you can use it FOR ...
you WOULD , get, claims and refunds when people don't find that it does as-much as others with the same LABELLING.
OK, real world, militaries check every little thing, sometimes... para-real world then - A Car-Wars / neo-apolocalyptic setting , where life is cheap and everyone's a buyer-beware ***hole. We've been given that LEVEL of care ... while in-game, in the 'shop' so to speak, there is no-where near that level of desperation and lack-of-care in the people selling the item , or in the realism of the level of competition , between sellers - that's one problem with the homogeny in Elite - if flaws existed in different merchant companies, it would be ROLE PLAY, and you could appreciate it - in Kumo regions, they could even scam you infrequently and you have to do a mini on-foot chase sequence to get your money or stuff back,

But with all the same kinds of screen-interactions in EVERY SINGLE terminal in the human-universe , one mistake or carelessness, or omission by Frontier ... ends up EVERYWHERE.
Yet when now searching for the info on the Guardian turret, i found it on the ED Wiki , of all places.
hardly official-releases material.
