It might surprise some but the Sussex chicken is not just my favorite bird of this era, but is indeed my favorite animal in-game. Why yes, I am a weirdo!

What about YOU?

American Flamingo. I'm glad we have a brightly colored Flamingo. I'm also glad we have a bird for NA! I hope for the future we get more typical birds for NA as well.

Honestly the chicken and the American flamingo make me pretty stoked, having another basic zoo bird and petting zoo representation is fantastic.

Now, personally speaking, the American Flamingo should have been an anniversary animal or available to base game from the start. Base game is full of “duplicate animals”: gharial and saltwater croc, bonobo and chimp, two elephants, two tigers, three lemurs, both giant tortoises, etc. and I really think having two flamingos would have been great. So I can understand if some people feel like it shouldn’t have been a paid DLC animal, as it is a “reskin” of an existing animal. However, as basic as it is it definitely deserves to be in this game. Flamingos are super common in zoos, and considering how the rest of the roster was fleshed or another flamingo was needed.
