The ULTIMATE Orca- no one escapes

Are you sure? I've never been mass locked by a factor of 24 by an Asp but I've been mass locked by a factor of 32 by a T9.

I'm sure, Since the Asp mass locks the T9, but the T9 does not mass lock the Conda. They share the same value. If you look around the forums I'm sure you could find the value for every ship.

Oh but its totally intentional, since each ship has to have a value set to it. It does not scale with mass at all, only what was imputed.

For clarification, its Anaconda at 24, Dropship at 20, T9 all the way down to Asp at 18, then the small ship values I cannot recall at the moment.
I don't think this makes sense, nor is it my general experience. I think some numbers might be off here.

Gotta spend all that booty on something! Until we can land on planets there is no where to bury the GOLD!
Exactly! I'll be sipping a margarita in my cruise ship while I rob you, if I can manage it!

Why do anything at all if you aren't going to do it with style?

I imagine the solo Pirate isn't worried about style, I imagine them being more worried about how to smash and grab the most loot the fastest. I could see a cartoony Pirate flying around in an Orca with his cartoony gang of smaller ships. Sorry "cartoony" is the best way I could explain what I'm thinking about right now, but I imagine it being quite funny. :)

I wish.

Discovered via testing. Large ships have less development as a whole.

Additionally, see this video, that proves that its also not additive.

The game only seeks out the largest value in range, and compares your value to that. 100 T9s will never mass lock a Anaconda.

hahaha, well as someone who got rich off trading, I'm alot more worried about fun than cash. If I want to take someone's rare goods, then I'm not going to be in a dirt cheap, overused plebian ship :D

Again, since each value was imputed manually, Frontier is not only aware of it, but also views it as intended.
I would really appreciate a dev quote on the subject. Does anyone know if they said anything definitive? There is really no excuse for an asp mass locking a t9.
