The Ultimate Ultimate Weapon against griefing, PVP, Open and everything

Over the past few years I have been planning and plotting the design of the ultimate ultimate weapon against griefing, PVP, Open and everything. Finally, it is today that I am ready to reveal the outcome of my exhaustive research. Basically, I drew a blank. So instead let me present to you an idea that popped into my head five minutes ago:

This ultimate ultimate weapon is so powerful that commanders considering its use will break out in a cold sweat. Commanders who have deployed the weapon just once will see their travels filled with flashbacks of terror. This weapon is so versatile that it can be installed in ships of any size. And the effects on commander ships are devastating: Firing the weapon will have ALL COMMANDER SHIPS IN THE SAME INSTANCE EXPLODE INSTANTLY! But wait, there is more: ALL THOSE COMMANDERS ARE ADDED TO THE IGNORE LIST ALSO! A fantastic outcome for the victim of a gank!

And there is still more! Those commanders destroyed by this ultimate weapon, well... THEY HAVE NOT ACTUALLY BEEN DESTROYED! From their point of view the commander who dared to use this terrible weapon simply self destructed. Now both parties live on their separate lives in the knowledge of complete and utter victory!

Joy all around! Explosions all around! And who does not want to see explosions in a space game, right?

I should have made a note reminding myself if this post was meant to be serious, humorous or just a troll. I guess you have to make up your own mind :)

Edit; some considerations:

- Users of the weapon should not be able to unblock commanders blocked as a result of firing the weapon for a week to prevent trolling

- Installing the weapons means you give up a hard point and thus you are unlikely to go down this path if you wanted to participate in PVP

- PVPers who encounter commanders with this weapon installed may want to avoid engaging those in combat

I was unable to gauge, in my simple mind, whether this idea is so ludicrous that it could have some merit or whether it will never work because it is so ludicrous. I don't know the original Energy bomb but I assume it did not have an asymmetric outcome? Example: Gankee sees all gankers explode and gankers see gankee self-destruct, indistinguishable from a 'normal' self-destruct. There is thus no cause for complaint if someone exits combat this way and everybody is happy (not gonna happen, I know).

Wouldn't griefers just use the weapon outside, say, a CG station, then clear their blocklist and do it again?

If I was a griefer that weapon would be my wet dream.

The 'victims' would just see the griefer self-destruct a lot in front of people without being otherwise affected (you have probably missed the part further down in the post).

This idea is so bad I know it isn't serious lol. Nice one Cmdr, creative thinking
