Yes, that works as well, with some level of skill.
It would give you a quick exit but it does not let you defeat your opponents; that is just an illusion.
Possibly some additional deterrent is required so that commanders don't use such a weapon too frequently. I have added some considerations in an Edit in the suggestion thread.
You were actually being serious with this suggestion?
I'm not sure myself. It's a mix of PVE flag and sanctioned exit. I'm happy enough to explore further and get some reactions.

I'm glad you asked! The suggestion box does not have high visibility and is not particularly well suited to draw attention to a particular subject matter. Hence I have posted a reference here to entice some reactions from players concerned about PVP, PVE and Open mode, the experts on the subject matter so to say.
