All the CG's have had essentially zero creativity applied to them since the Lugh war.
So now, I just drop one of whatever random junk they want at a CG if I am passing it for a few hundred thousand at some random time in the future (I don't even bother picking it up, just wait till it automatically goes into my account)
Above mentioned a "Sell exploration data" CG, yeah, it existed, but you know what?
It was completely random. The CG was about finding something in a certain area, so you were to go out and scan around there!
Thing is, guess what? that's right, it made zero difference where your data was from. You could turn in data, about anything, from anywhere. Making the entire thing stupid, and seem irrelevant.
And then these Thargoid CG's, It's been said a bunch of times, but, thargoid items shouldn't be in the same CG as stuff you can just buy. That's entireely obvious, because what's also entirely obvious is Frontier have no intention of putting any more granularity into their CG system in the near future. It's entirely binary.
"Did player turn in (THING)"
- Yes - Increase their contribution.
That's it. There is no "What type/grade/level/rarity/distance/value was (THING) that was turned in"
- Use this to modify contribution amount/apply to separate element of CG\
It's just so transparently minimum viable product.
And the worst thing is, they have DONE more interesting ones, even using these bare bones mechanics. They just can't be bothered anymore, even in the most supposedly narrative driven part of the games release, since release.
It's amazing(ly confusing)
