The Unbelievable Nonsense that was the Banki Community Goal, inflicted on its Brave Soldiers

Banki. A system where the Federation asked for help. Where Frontier set up a special community event... 500k ls from the star.

Fine, fine, a bunch of us still went out there. We made the trek, because we wanted to help.

What do we get?
A sudden reveal that we were competing with the folks in BD all along, and if they won first our efforts would be cut short.
- Despite them getting the assistance of a cap ship
- Despite them having more players since they are so much closer to their star
- Despite them having a way better outfitting selection
No improvement in Federal rep or rank.
Our reward is a 15% discount on... a seconhand Imperial ship or an Orca, and a pathetic selection of modules.

To top it all off, the station is still in the hands of the gold gang.

Really ? I thought they were two different objectives, we nearly reached tier 7 too !

They had a cap ship on their side ? Well that could have helped against all the players siding on the Gold gang side just to crush everyone else under their Pythons boots

AND their station was closer ?!

COME ON !

We literally had everything goign against us on this one, we should honestly have received bigger rewards for fighting in this system...

Do you have a source that Banki ended because only BD03 or Banki could be successful? My Dev tracker doesn't reveal this to me.

It also doesn't reveal a dev statement why Tanmark ended early, or why Yembo metal demands ended early.

One would think they'd post about their prime content addition in 1.1 a bit more than that. Unless their prime content addition in 1.1 was city lights.

shambolic communitcation about the community goals is the order of the day, on the other hand u cant keep the devs quite on anything related to new planets in the realworld, pvp exploits i think 20 dev posts made today on that alone, or promoting the next round of 1.2 bugginess and features that are just paper thin.....

David braben would be sad but his wondered off elsewhere to abandon this project it seems like anyway
