The Update 15 Spoiler Thread (spoilers, duh)

I'd check the Codex - under Thargoids ....
So out of interest, because I hate this ship and need to fix it so can't do these things atm... are these POI's that you discover like Barnacles via DSS? Or are they "flora" and need to be searched out like for exobiology?

I very briefly went through a bunch of atmo planets in a tharg controlled system and couldn't find Thargoid (POI) signals on any of them, but didn't go so far as to search planets with Biological (exobiology) signals.

They're in Thargoid signals - Thargoid Barnacle Matrix - there are multiple new codex entries in that section, so you should have a selection of systems to try. I always check on the system map for signals in well known places as it is faster than the FSS

The Pax missions are more fun than I had imagined ...

though I guess if you have a long enough jump range you'll miss out

Now I need to go fit a Collector limpet ...

Edit: Actually don't do these missions for VIP - they all seem marked 'Cowardly' so when you scoop them up they thank you, notice you were damaged in the fight and abort the mission. So close fdev, so close ...

Interestingly, the Barnacle Matrix sites inhibit low-waking...

And some happy snaps...

And was also interested to see if Interceptors reacted to Coral Sap in your cargo hold. They treat it like Thargoid items... not hositle, but will open fire if you don't drop it. I wondered if it might be like Meta Alloys and more passive, but nope

Had some success gathering Coral Sap from a ship using collector limpets and remote release flechette launcher - on average more than one per limpet, and total of 53 collected with one relog.
