The update design philosophy is skewed too much in favor of Sandbox players

I am happy with everything that's been added and make use of just about all additions made to this game. But little has been done to make any actual shake-ups to the gameplay loop. I think where most YouTubers and the like who play this game build sandbox parks, a lot of content is based around feedback made by them in their videos about sandbox. I like to play a tycoon style game. As much as I like sandbox, when the park is finished what do you do then? There's more to be done in the challenge style mode. The custom challenge mode is a step in the right direction but the gameplay progression of challenge mode will remain as linear as it has always been. JWE 1 figured this out very quickly and added randomised dinosaur unlock and as a result I spent endless hours in that game because it was so variable between playthroughs. JWE 2 doesn't have this feature (new update screenshots don't have it either) so what has resulted is that I find JWE 1 to be too much of a step down to revisit and JWE 2 to get boring quite quick without that randomisation that makes every challenge unique. I hope Frontier gives the gameplay more TLC before the end of the end of the game's lifecycle.

This is a Jurassic Park game, shouldn't there be more chaos in the game? It's all a bit too predictable.

I'm not saying this is the be-all fix. But if randomised dig sites/dinosaurs were in the game it would become the perfect game for me, the linearity problem would disappear like that. I don't think it's too much to ask considering that it's a removed feature not a new one.

I agree with this.

All the updates we had so far have been fun and do enhance the experience, but not much has been added to enhance the management experience itself.

I am excited about this upcoming update since it has a custom challenge mode, so we could at least mix and match challenge settings to attempt to enhance the management experience. For example, I think we have the ability to research tranquilizer strength and possibly the paleobotany in custom challenge mode, couple that with taxes, agitable scientists, and enabling fussy and intelligent traits, and we effectively have a challenge mode where you grow the park by scratch and actually have to deal with dangerous dinosaurs if they get uncomfortable.

But outside of that, yeah, I hope more gameplay options are introduced such as random dig sites as you mentioned, new areas to manage such as park cleanliness and park security from naughty guests and spies, as well as more gameplay options such as dinosaur training, enhanced paleobotany research, meat management, park advertising, loan requests, additional contracts, and advanced genome editing and this game would expand so much in replayability.
