when engineers were introduced, and my cmdr got the first ivitations, i bookmarked the engineers i thought i would visit more regularly; marco qwendt wasn't one of them.
he was a pure obstacle to get to palin as fast as possible, a mere stepping stone, the brutality of 25 modular terminals (luckily i already had the permit).... i spammed some upgrades and did some trade runs (when material were still hard to get - remember 2.1.0 :-( )... and when i got my invitation to palin, i said: goodbye, qwendt! i'll see you again when you take fish.
today qwendt is the engineer i visit most.
who needs L5 access with hera tani (which i originally bookmarked and levelled), when a grade 1 overcharged powerplant from qwendt can get you the MW you need, AND increase heat-efficiency?
who would go for a L4 low emission powerplant instead of fitting one one class smaller and going for a good G2/G3 roll at qwendts?
everybody loves a charge enhanced G5 powerdistributor, but exquisite focus crystals are elusive - my traders and miner get their ENG or WEP focussed G3 upgrades at qwendt, my explorers have d-class ENG focussed, from qwendt ... and my newest toy, a silly speed eagle (non-imperial) runs with a very fine G3 charge enhanced roll - from qwendt.
