The Veil West, one the greatest nebula?

The Veil West, one of the greatest nebula?

Hello Commanders.

Last week, i was in the Veil West nebula, only ~1.500ly from the bubble. I found that you don't need to travel far in the galaxy to find one of the most beautiful Nebula in the game. I'm sure a large number of you already make the trip to the veil but for those who never did, just do it. That's not that far and that's pretty gorgeous.

By the way, i'm searching for a beautiful nebula for my next trip, if you guys have any, please, share with the world. =)

Yep, Veil West is up there with the best 3 in my opinion.

The other two I'd say everyone should visit at least once is:

Fine Ring:

Messier 78:

i think it is the second most stunning nebula, and for sure worth a visit.

also close, at even more impressive from the inside, is the eskimo nebula - very often overlooked. crazy visual. unfortunately no landable if i remember correctly.

the spirograph nebula, also impressive, has landables, and i'm searching for geysers and fumaroles in there when i pass it - no luck till now.

Love the video and images! Thanks for sharing.

I'm not familiar with the fine ring but I've seen both Messier 78 and the Veil in a telescope and it's really immersive for me to explore them in the game.

CD-26 1339 is a really nice planetary nebula only about 1000 ly from the bubble. Great views of Barnard's Loop and the Orion nebula from it

Great idea for a thread. I'll add these to my interesting systems web page and will pay a visit to some. Is Barnards Loop any good? I fancy trying some mining out there.

Lots of permit locked systems for the upcoming alien (shhh!) story. Makes it somewhat difficult to get in and out of.

I'd say worth it, fly upwards to +200 height on the co-ordinate map and you'll avoid most of the permit until you get there and can just drop into where you want. It is worth it as a first exploration trip to see if you enjoy it (and make the mistakes so that you don't make them at 30,000ly from sol) :)
