[The Voice of the Krew] - An Official Statement of Intent from the Council of Free Commanders

[The following announcement is made with the approval of the Senior Pirate Crew and Pirate Crew in good standing.]

For a long time, we the pilots and captains of Archon space have been maligned by many of our fellows who share the space lanes with us. They call us pirates, scoundrels, and worse. They point to our system of justice and governance and call it barbaric anarchy. They ignore the virtues of our nation, and the flaws of their own. Politicians who invade sovereign systems simply because they do not hold to their archaic laws on regulation of recreational substances. They deny free people the right to acquire the weapons they should rightfully be able to have access. They allow the 1% to use economics and corrupt laws to seize control of worlds and enslave free people while the rest of space sits back and applauds the debtor's punishment.

We the Council of Free Commanders of human space, refuse to bend a knee to weak nobles and corrupt politicians, in Archon Space, Free Space! Those who have the strength and cunning to seize opportunity when they see it prosper, away from the stifling regulations of Presidents and Emperors. Free trade is one of the defining virtues of those systems which find themselves swearing allegiance to the Archon, where a merchant need not be bothered with petty fines or sales restrictions. And we welcome all who share our dedication to those same virtues to come and join us in the territory of the Kumo Crew. Where the Strong Are Free!

More announcements will follow in time and all Crew and Swabbies are welcome to make their voices heard!
[Krew is spelled with a K because dat'z proppa Orky dat iz]

(To clarify, I've been given leave to act as something of a spokesperson for the Archon Delaine discord group, slap a fancy name on things, and play voice of the Archon! Since we lack any other sort of player group, this sorta makes us the de-facto authority among the Power. I'm not just shouting into the wind, and will be here lending a fancy explanation for our doings as time goes on, as well as making the occasional announcement of our opinion on current events).

Interesting, I didn't think it likely that pirates would protect free trade. Of course, actions speak louder than words, and I'll have to get back in the saddle and investigate this claim personally.

The Kumo Crew has a long, established history of supporting free (to them) trade!
