The Vulture jumpbreak flashbang combo :-)

With a Vulture kitted with a gimballed C3 Beam and a fixed C3 Flak cannon you can do the following for great fun. At about 1.5km away from target hit boost, then immediately max reverse thruster. You'll end up close to target, with low speed. Melt shields with beam (close distance ensures max effectiveness), and then 3 quick flak hits. Boom! Awesomely fun.
 
How does using the beam laser compare to using two pulses? Sounds like a fun combo.

Right, so I tried the dual G C3 Pulse before this, for comparison. Gut feeling is that the single beam tears through shields faster, and because it's only one I can use it pretty much for as long as I want without running out or overheating (only overheats if I run it continuously and boost at the same time). So the beam does the work of the two pulses, which works for a) shields b) small ships. With big ships I do the jumpbreak flashbang, and if I have a subsystem targeted the beam is ridiculously accurate at point blank range, and the flak can kill hull very very fast. It's a toss up whether the ship blows up from subsystem failure or hull breakage; either way you win.

And I just found it to be more fun that the dual pulse, but that's a matter of taste obviously.
