I've tried just that but to be honest now that I've had a glimpse of what we've got in store for us the older games just can't get me immersed anymore.

I'm in a gaming lull at the moment, nothing interests me. Time to take up DIY I think :D

Anyone have a clue 'roughly' when the beta testing will begin?

Would be nice to see it before xmas, I won't hold my breath though, I really don't know how long these things take.


Am playing X3TC right now but even though it looks nice, its simply not got the ELITE feel to it and its.. well, boring zzzZZZ

I think the way to look at it is that we have something special to look forward to. Lots of misery, grief and drama in the world and when ED comes along we can take all that annoyance out on random players we meet in game, or if you have a particular axe to grind why not choose someone who really annoyed you here.. :rolleyes:

Have to say I am real thirsty for more of the game. Whilst I am drinking Alpha juice and the rest of you are on beta milkshake all I have to say is :cool:

I know what I am gonig to do.. since I am in a real gaming lull myself atm (bored of everything).. I'll re watch all the vids from KS and the dev diaries in order. :)

I know I'm not rich enough to afford to join the Alpha testing stage but I find it a little offensive when you refer to us as plebs.

People are usually so nice and friendly on here, that was rather uncalled for.

A pleb was a roman citizen which didnt take part in military service or politics. It was like the ordinary citizen of Rome like craftsmen and merchants.

So pleb aint that bad a word, but can be missunderstanded. Plebs are usually my last defence in Rome 2, if you can call it defence. Its more like leading sheep to the slaughter :p

I think it was meant with no offense. I can't afford Alpha either (also I have to upgrade my computer first anyway). Good news is that alpha isn't be delayed (See new Dev Diary), and hopefully someone will capture all good alpha process for us, mere mortals to check out in Youtube :)

It was intended as a joke and I apologie if it did offend people. It really wasn't intended as being offensive and I dont look at other people as beneath me.. If anything I'd be one of the people the romans did call a pleb. I'll happily remove the word, and in future refrain from any banter with the community here.

That's the first answer on that topic and probably the most valuable too - as soon as it's released you'll also have more time on your hands to play it that way. Maybe sing "Faith of the Heart" or something meanwhile.. :)
