So, after a particularly frustrating series of matches against a certain high ranking CQC pilot (props on the flying), in which the outcome was always determined almost entirely by who had the weapons powerup, I've been thinking more about this particular aspect of CQC.
From a high level players' perspective, it's easy to focus on the competitive aspect of CQC, and critique the weapons powerup from that angle, but the problem may be more severe than that.
Nearly every day there are angry threads about "imbalance in matchmaking" as "high ranked players with superior gear" farm noobs and make them quit in frustration.
How much of this is down to high ranking players who use the Weps powerup's imbalance to kill entire matches worth of new players, who don't know or understand why they're dying so fast?
I honestly think it's one of the things that most contributes to new player attrition and the current empty state of CQC
