The wife went out for the afternoon, taking the kids, so........

.....I've just had a blast playing for the first time in about a month (i.e. since my littlest was born).

Picked up some rebel transmissions and on the way back encountered a USS and had a ding dong battle with 3 NPCs. Not too exciting on the grand scale of things, but when you don't get much opportunity you have to take what you can!

Congrats, I am also due a new little wing commander very soon. I already have a 4 year old who I'm attempting to get into the game

Ah yes, the biggest USS of all, infants! Is the signal for a soiled nappy, are they hungry or just want a cuddle? Its just like the real thing.

Hope you still manage time to play when the little one arrives, my gaming life had pretty much hit the deck!

Congratulations for the newest member of your family... welcome to the galaxy wee one.

May I suggest that you hold off adding any more for the next couple of years as you'll only be sacrificing your Elite time if you do ;)

My 7-year old can dock like a champ.

I'm now torn on if I should force him to play with FA off; although I know that he could do it the lack of stabilisation tools are frustrating and using FA on temporarily to stop those slight drifts is annoying.

I'd pay very good money to have stabilisation buttons to stop movement in each axis independently.

> stabilisation

If I understand that rightly, the deadzone control options help

Nah this is with FA off, where you have a slight vector which is really difficult to cancel because it's hard to know exactly where it is and will usually be in multiple axes.

Try turning FA off, spinning a bit with a bit of throttle, and then attempting to stop your ship totally to see what I mean.

Don't worry, I'm finished now on that score - one of each, and that'll do me now thanks very much.
