The Wrong. (it really sounds negative)
- Cash flow balance My first franchise zoo, got 500k cashflow year 16 wihout any shops, marketing, and 4 Animal enclosures with 6 types of different animals. Cashflow is irrelevant. You make a steady profit by just having 2 zebra's right now...
How should it have been done IMO? Make a new rebalance for Franchise mode. Adjust the Cashflow accordingly. In my opinion Franchise mode should be hard and difficult, not easy. If it is too hard for people there are aspects of the game they can play instead (sandbox, offline mode, career)
- Game speed. Been said over and over in both beta feedback and here. Stop ignoring it. It is so far off balance right now it is just laughable and incredibly annoying. Can't enjoy the zoo whatsoever, 90% of the game is paused and still managed to pass through 16 years in a few days.
How should it have been done IMO? In franchise mode, there is only 1 default speed. Which is about 5 to 10 times speed slower. There is no possibility of increasing the speed and pausing causes the game to get into the menu (unable to build anything) There will be no way to increase the time speed. That means you will have to build while the game is unpaused. Increasing a layer of difficulty, However. The time passes by a lot slower so it should be less of a problem.
- Diseases. I have no idea about anyone else. But so far I have seen one disease come by in my zoo. It is rare, and it almost feels like all the research doing towards it is pretty much irrelevant. Maybe I am lucky, but so far it has not contributed much in Franchise mode. Also, naming the diseases by their complex name is not making it any easier which ones are important to research.
How should it have been done IMO? Restructure the diseases in the game. Give it a bit more of an overview. Currently I have no idea which diseases can kill or are important diseases that can kill your animals. Maybe a research options to develop vaccines for certain diseases? I have no clue at the moment because there is to little information to work with on how it works.
Small things that bothered me:
The Mediocre:
Management: It has always been the Achilles heel of Frontier Developments and this game is no exception. It has some good elements, but also bad elements. But I think, compared with Planet Coaster. There is still a possibility to make this a great management game. With Planet coaster and JWE it was hopeless really and they still turned out bad in my opinion. Keep working on it. Listen to feedback, and I see the decent management game.
The Good
Nice variety of animals. Awesome detail. The artist department did really well. There are a lot of talented people working on these models Well done!
Graphics: I noticed that the engine really got a bump up when I compared t he game with planet coaster. Also, less frame drops on a full park. Well done!
Still enjoying the game, and there is a lot of content to go through. Well done!
My biggest question.
Whats the point of a security guard in planet zoo? I have seen nobody steal, or do anything really... And there is no such thing as PEGI 3 Bonobo's

Small things that bothered me:
- Selecting multiple walls and paint it in the same color. The option is missing, forcing me to select every object tile manually and copy pasting the color code into every object. Long and tedious.
- A lot of reboxing of animals by ape climbing enclosures. It box automatically if a conflict gets detected, but does not unbox. Resulting that animals stay in the box for a long period of time.
