Alright chaps and chapettes, I think its time for a thread to honour one of the best series of games.
This series was the one that got me into PC Gaming in a big way, the child-like happiness it generated as I flew a TIE Fighter for the glory of the Empire and shooting defenceless transports full ofrefugees insurgents to try to bring peace and order to a galaxy of turmoil.
Then the multiplayer game came through and my first sort of experience of multiplayer gaming online began, flying with a group of other Imperial minded individuals in cooperative games, and then taking it to those filthy players who supported the insurgents and competing in player ran leagues and campaigns, which is where I got into mission making and modding. XWA pushed this further, with actual hyperspace and an increase in NPCs in an instance, however its mission maker/mod support was pretty terrible in comparison with XvT
However, many years have past, and sadly, the world of star wars games isn't as great as it should be, and I'm feeling nostalgic, hence this thread.
As I'm in the middle of porting the TIE Fighter campaign into XvT and making it into a co-operative experience, I was wondering if anyone owned XvT and fancied throwing into a Frontier Forums co-op campaign, or even if we got the numbers possibly something more?
Either way, it'll be good to talk about classic space combat games
