Hi fellow explorers,
Over in the CQC discord channel, there have been murmurs about an expedition. Perhaps to Sag A* or perhaps to Jaques or anywhere else vaguely interesting. Each member of the expedition will carry a ship launched fighter with them and on arrival at the destination hold a series of CQC style battles with the fighters only, no ship to ship shooting. Other events could be added I guess. These battles would be public though controlled, so people could come and watch. Some of the best CQC players have expressed an interest.
The idea would be that the journey would include some interesting sights but the focus would be on a distant CQC match, either team or deathmatch.
My question here is, is this something that any of this illustrious forum might be interested in and also can anyone suggest a good location they have found out in the black? One issue of course is the limited number of fighters that can be carried so we may need to be within a reasonable distance of a station but I would rather this wasn´t really necessary.
When rules etc have been established I will post a formal roster and route etc but would like to gauge interest before hand in order to establish the parameters of the events.
Please note, this will not be a PvP event as I for one, don't do that. The only things to die will be SLF's and possibly SRV's.
