The Zootierliste Top 100

On Zootierliste there is a feature to search animals by the most holders they have in zoos. This feature isn't perfect as it splits subspecies and domestic breeds, however I thought it would be fun to see how many of the top 100 most common zoo animals are in Planet Zoo and which species missing we would like to see.

Spoilered below is the top 100 and here is a legend:
Bold means this is a species we already have.
Italics means we have this species in the game but it is a different subspecies/breed.
(Note: I bolded any where the subspecies/breed wasn't specified on ZTL but is in Planet Zoo or vice versa)

In total that is 35/100, not terrible considering this list includes flying birds and fish.

Thats nice! Beside all the birds, fish and domestics, I guess we have many of them. Kinda surprised the Serval is on this list, as I never saw this animal in real life. I would like to see most of this animals on this list, as the mandarin duck, the black swan or the golden pheasant and so on. And, I think you can do the rhea, because we know, it's coming. Looking at this list, I hope the coati and the mara will be part of the upcoming pack.

Yea I'm just exercising caution in case it is the Lesser, though I do think and hope it is the Greater.

Though I'd personally prefer Darwin's rheas, the greater rhea seems more likely just based on the sheer demand.

I did have an idea for a "Children's Zoo Animal Pack" that took a bunch of the top picks from that list. But I'll wait until this "Western Animal Pack" gets formally announced before updating.

Heck, they're so low effort to.make compared to habitat animals. They barely move, they have limited needs. Why can't we get more?
Just because they stuck in their boxes dont mean they are low effort to make.
New model is still new model and average exhibit animal requires as much effort, if not more compared to average mammalian clone. All that because fur is simple compared to scales and making bighorn sheep is way easier than making good looking snake. Thats it.

But how much detail would 5 poison frigs be? They all are very similar aqlpart from color. Same thi g for various venomous vipers and constrictors and terrapins

So we need pheasants, ducks, coatis, a scarlet ibis, new world monkeys (especially tamarins and the capuchin family), a serval, koi, flying birds, and a few more exhibit species to cover the basics. Those all sound good too me.
This pack is very good regarding this, we are getting rhea and a NW monkey (although not one in the top 100), and coati and/or mara.
Such a shame that they chose another flamingo instead of the scarlet ibis, we could have raised the number to 39 or 40 out of the top 100!
