so i interdicted an orca with a bounty of 85,000 yesterday and tried out my new dual torpedo pylons on my viper, and something wierd happened, i finally got the shields down and put two torpedoes into the broadside of the orca and all of a sudden it stopped shooting, is there a reason it would do this? 30,000 worth of 2 torpedo's is a small price to pay for 55,000 (im poor in this game XD)

Yep, you likely took out his power distributer. Next time cycle through sub systems and check thier health. Side note for you, when taking on high value (and dangerous) targets, try to target their power plant. Last night I took out a couple of anacondas in my viper this way, hull was at 40% when they went boom

ah, i must have missed it, i looked through his subsystems and saw that his pulse cannon or whatever it was that would of ohk me was taken out (thank god) but where do i find the powerplant in the bigger ships, does it look like something?
It's right behind the cockpit on most ships. Easiest way is to bind a key that toggles through sub systems, I use gimballed multi cannons for sub systems personally.
