I was thinking of buildings that could give a bonus to a dinosaur's rating, and came to the conclusion of themed educational Exhibitions. I've chosen to separate them by in-game continent, but you could separate them into Time period or have an effect for both.
Examples of Themed exhibition buildings [These specific themes don't necessarily matter too much, though they were the ones I thought stood out for each continent]
Here's a fitting list of relevant potential parts of exhibitions that might also make good scenery items. [I wouldn' t expect any new animals featured to be put into the game as proper animals, though I'd imagine they'd get requested until basically the end of time]

- Dinosaurs of the Desert (Asia, Cretaceous) [Primary inspiration is the Djadochta Fm.]
- Insular dinosaurs (Europe, Jurassic) [Primary inspiration is the Solnhofen Limestone, various other communities could be included, such as the later Hateg Island fauna]
- Dinosaurs of the Mangroves (Africa, Cretaceous) [Primary inspiration is the Bahariya Fm.]
- Dawn of the Dinosaurs (South America, Triassic) [Primary inspiration is the Ischigualasto Fm.]
