Smoke and Mirrors aside - I am just speculating here for fun.
I do think it would be pretty cool to find a system that no-one else had yet, which had been colonised by a generation ship or something similar. Maybe when you dock/land you get given some special data to return to civilisation- I wonder how many credits UC would give for that?

You should watch the video clip from 26:50 .... it was no idle speculation made in an off-the cuff moment - it was a very deliberate statement.

Dav Stott had selected those questions and had his answers prepared beforehand. He took the opportunity to drop us a heavy hint to keep looking

Maybe they are talking about the Generation ships, possibly some of them succeeded and settled on worlds, maybe even creating little bubbles of settlements like Colonia is? Makes me want to search and explore the galaxy map for hours on end, lol!
