Off topic I know but I would just like to say that although there have been some suspect threads around here lately, there are a lot of real generous, good people in here. In particular, I would like to mention....

Their kindness and generosity towards my over the last year or so has been immense. I don't even know these guys yet I have been invited to the release party and will soon be taking part in the Alpha (hopefully).

There are lots of other people around here who have become real good friends too. However, those three in particular have parted with their hard-earned money to allow a fellow Elite fan to take part in these events.

So I would just like to say a big thank you to those Elite Commanders!

You are indeed correct. I have had one myself. Because of Sparticus I will be able to play the 2nd Beta AND........ I have the Expansion Pass!! I have seen other players help a man with a computer system after his blew up. I've seen quite a few generous acts on these forums. And I agree they need to be presented. In todays world of so many greedy and just plain evil people, they good ones need to be applauded. SALUTE!! :D

Totally agree, brilliant community here, I think its the age mixture - like most pubs, get a good mix of age groups and things rarely kick off ;)

Even when they do on here its discussed pretty maturely without resorting to flaming :)

Yeah, I'm fortunate to know the people I've met here. Even today someone made a really nice gesture which I truly appreciated.

And I can never forget Kow sending me the mug to Italy!

Can I also add that the humour on here by the forum members is brilliant, Oss, Kow, Mobius... far to many people to mention, as well as Odd's "Woof Woof"TM gets me chuckling :)

Its not often that you get real LOL moments at work by just reading a forum ;)

That reminds me, The Lone Gunman, Alien and myself are throwing about an idea to meet up in Stamford (just north of Peterborough, UK) at some point and it would be great to meet more of you - when we eventually sort something out then we will post about it... :)

Glad to see such a well behaved crowd; It's an honour to both posters and moderators.

Hopefully the climate of these forums will survive the oncoming train once the game becomes popular and will keep their sanity.

What trolls? there are no trolls here.. only misguided souls that need to be shown the rightous path that is ED :)

But yes... there are some truly remarkable people in here.. hats off to you guys!

Like Soranor - I'm a serial lurker. I'm here every day, all quiet and sneaky-like.
But I feel moved to break my stealthy habits and say that in years and years of being a serial lurker this is THE single best forum I've ever lurked in.
So, you can all pat yourself on the back.
