when things (even bugged) were smooth.. PVP players were fighting each other in the game and in the forum, DistantWorlds people where trying to map a galactic highway with 'jumponium', miners where finding their pristine rings, The Canonn where exploring nebulae finding unknown 'stuff', traders were really aware about the rares and their routes and the rifters were rifting in the ritf. That time.. IIRC, the main issues in the game were:
- FD give us an autopilot.
- FD give us an scanner that scans the whole system.
- FD nerf this/buff that..
- from sidewinder to anaconda in the time you say Elite: danger.., dang it!
- fastranking like a boss..
Then 2.1 came in.. the combat ranking turned out to be a trap, Robigo mines didn't give a manual on how to pilot a big ship, suddenly the limpets are broken, the materials are hard to find, a jump range of 20Ly is an insult and moving rares from one station to another is 'a stupid design flow'.
without wanting to go any deep on how it is easier now to find some of the materials existing since 2.0, My main relief is that nobody talks now about the autopilot
