Therizinosaurus?

That's what I thought. Weird that people keep throwing it around on the forum, like a sequel is coming...
Honestly, the speculation has some weight to it.

With the way successful sim games works is that a sequel would often follow up 3-5 years after the original to build upon the original's quality. Like zoo tycoon, the sims, tropico, roller coaster tycoon, etc. And JWE is a successful game, but it is also flawed in areas that fans wanted to be improved on, like better guest management, deeper dinosaur management, advanced A.I., more buildable objects, more space and so on. Some stuff like this does get into the game, but it feels like the current build of the game's engine could only allow so much to be changed and included.

And the reasons to make a sequel makes sense. Jurassic World Dominion is expected to come out in 2021 and a new game would benefit from the dinosaur hype it would make. The newer generation of consoles in the PS5 and Xbox series X could handle way more demanding games than the PS4 and XboxOne, and they are planning to be sold like crazy as the next generation of home consoles. Plus Frontier has adapted a more in depth management game, Planet Coaster, to be playable on consoles, so an engine for a more indepth management sim is more possible on consoles than before. These reasons would fuel the speculation further, and I could see a sequel happening since JWE will be 3 years old when the new movie comes out.

And like how @Thylaco is suggesting, new and more interesting dinosaurs like the Therizinosaurus could be in the sequel. The Therizinosaurus has been on nearly everyone's list of future dinosaurs to have in JWE since nearly day 1. So to not have it in the game so far has raised some eyebrows. We could see the dinosaur in a DLC pack, or in an update, or it could equally be saved for a potential sequel.
