Thermal capabilities of the Cobra Mk V

This might be a little early to ask this because the Cobra Mk V isn’t generally available to everyone yet, but has anyone that has it yet know how cold it runs when compared with the DBS of DBX?

Can’t speak to the DBX or DBS, but it runs a few percentage points cooler than a Cobra Mk III with an equivalent loadout. So far I haven’t come anywhere close to overheating while fuel scooping, which was a problem I had with the Mk III.

Better than anything I've driven, except Mandalay (of course) while scooping and charging at the same time. Cobra Mk V can do it too, only in a slightly less spectacular manner. But the difference is negligible. Top of the game.

I even made one quite usable with 13°C for collecting around Titans. :)

Today I was doing a bunch of salvage stuff and I noticed when NPC ships jumped in they were coming very close to resolve scans. I didn't build for cold, armored PP running .35 efficiency, and am sitting around 30% waiting for the limpets to do their thing. Then I noticed my ship signature bar was flat lined. I can't honestly say what I would expect it to be at 30% heat, but it doesn't really start to get agitated until over 40%. Haven't had time to jump in other ships to check for differences. It definitely handles heat well.

My titan debris salvage mk5 runs at 16% heat with thrusters engaged. Low emissions pp with thermal spread and clean drives with drag drives, no shield. Boosting takes it to 29%.
Not sure how this compares to dbx or other cobra as I've not built cold running versions.

From a quick test of shieldless build - about the same. Can't say I've noticed any differences, but it was a couple of months since I had DBS.

Thermal Vent beam with Efficient is not a good idea. Less heat this beam generates less efficient it is in cooling your ship.
Yes, almost all my thermal vents are long range, but before I learned not to combine the 2, I had already built 3 that was just sitting around, So when I did a cold Clipper (for Titan pod extractions) build, it was under powered and I tried one of those efficient thermal vents and it worked because I wasn't thrusting much, just hiding from interceptors. I didn't complete this Cobra build yet and the early version was using a shield and couldn't handle the weapons, but since it worked for the clipper I figured I would try it again as a workplace tool. But without the Shield and having the extra power, I absolutely should have updated it to long range. Thanx
