Engineers Thermal Conduit - details since 3.0 ?

Sorry, if this was answered,
but the forum search finds no posts that contain the word "conduit" within the last 6 months... which i find strange.

can someone tell me the exact number of "Thermal Conduit" past the 3.0 change?

i know exactly that there was a detailed DEV post about this during the beta.
there was the exact numbers at which % the effect starts to kick in, and up to what heat % you get the maximum bonus (including that number too)

but no matter what i try with the forum search, it doesn't dig up that information

but the consens seems to be that it starts at 80% heat,
has a 10% damage bonus at 100% heat,
tops up to 50% bonus at 180% heat

also found someone writing a nice use of that effect. TC Beam turrets that gain extra dps when he fires his PAs.

since i was considering the effect vs. thargoid scouts that max work well on a guardian equip ship with those heat spikes from the Gauss.
 
I viewed, and realised I didn't have a specific answer, even after a quick Google search for my own edification.

I could answer non-specifically, it's still terrible, but I don't have the numbers to back that up, sorry.

I don't have specific Stats, only the general consensus.

Thermal Conduit is apparently generally deemed almost useless, as the DPS gains from intentionally overheating the own Ship are in no relation to the downsides.
It seems it's only somewhat effective at heat levels that essentially ruin the own Ship.

At some point it was nerfed to the current condition, so one must be careful not to take old figures or reviews.
Unfortunately I don't know when the nerf was applied, but I found something in the V3.0beta Patchnotes :
* Thermal Conduit no longer includes a base damage penalty, but the damage bonuses from the firing ship's heat have been reduced to offset this

So any figures or experiences before V3.0 I guess are "old" , pre-nerf.

Thermal conduit deals 11% more damage at 100% heat (been using triple OC PAs with TC on my FAS, carefully heating up to 100% per shot), up to 33% at like 160% heat (didn't do that test properly).
So 11% more damage for a carefully 100% heat before damaging yourself is not worth it. Should be atleast 25%.

i wouldn't apply it to a PA in the first place... for me that is an effect i apply to my beams
second, from all the numbers written down in the older topics, the effective damage bonus at 100% heat has been mostly the same as after the change, due to the initial damage reduction.
now i have NO penalty on that weapon no matter how cool my ship is,
but if i may run hot (eg. my capacitor low... ) i get a bonus.

you make it sound like 10% bonus is to low - but compared to all other options, it is a bonus without penalty
Oversized is just 2% damage for 5% higher power draw
 
i'd also like some solid numbers on this... i'm bumping this thread, because i don't wanna make my own.

i remember hearing something like at 60% heat we start seeing an increase in dmg... and at 80% heat it's capped off... but i'm not certain, and would LOVE to know the facts...the REAL specs.
 
I put a large OC TC fixed beam on my vette. My hope was to make that large perform like a huge. I put beam turrets on the mediums in the hope that 3 beams would make enough heat. It doesn't. Even with OC, the ship doesn't get hot enough for the effect to manifest. It's a cool orange color though. The color is the best part. Actual performance is underwhelming.
