thermal overload

Hi ,

Just went mining for the first time and my mining lasers got thermal overload also noticed so did my pulse. Now they are stuck on that and wont fire. Waited ages for them to cool but still wont work.

Is this normal? what can I do?

Put pips to WEP and keep the capacitor charged. Also make sure your power distributor is big enough to allow your weapons to fire.

If your WEP capacitor is drained and you do not have any pips in WEP the pulse/mining lasers say they are overloaded after they have depleted the capacitor. Its likely that you just need to shift a few pips into WEP to refill the capacitor.

Without sounding like the IT Crowd, I had this issue once and I went into modules power management and switched them off and back on again which worked.

Put a pip or two into your weapons capacitor. Default key for this is the right arrow key. Power management is also important for many other aspects, you might want to look this up in the manual or seek out online guides for how to do this properly in Elite: Dangerous.
